Organic Gardening Classes
There are so many reasons to do your
own Organic Gardening that the
question should not be why do your
own organic gardening, but rather,
WHY not?
We should do our own organic
gardening because it reduces the
amount of fossil fuels used to
transport our food, reconnects us with
our Mother Earth, makes us more self
sufficient, lessons our abuse of
underpaid migrant workers, provides
fresher and many times more
nourishing food, empowers us, allows
us to eat organic, saves us money,
and so on.  Other reasons include
integrity of food and health risks that
one may not be aware of when they
buy their food.  Many farms from other
countries could expose us to bacteria,
fungi, and parasites, which will impair
our health.  If you farm yourself
properly, you protect your health.
Part of learning about organic gardening is to learn how to
compost and build soil.  The health of your plants will be
directly dependent on your quality of soil.  In many places
beds need to be build above ground and soil built within.
The soil is amended by soil amendments, which create a soil
that allows for proper drainage, proper moisture levels,
Worm composting as seen
to the right, is one of the
best ways of creating your
own organic fertilizers.
Come learn how to create
and maintain your own
worm farm.  For more
information please see our
Composting Page.
Learning how to start and sow seeds is another aspect of gardening that we cover in our
workshop.  Part of this includes education on
Lunar Gardening, which is gardening with the
phases of the moon.  Also there is a lot to learn when it come to germination, lengths of time,
and other issue with propagation of seeds.  Different seeds like different soils and different
environments.  Some should be started in pots and others in the ground.  Come learn the art
of turning seeds into plants.
Gardening is a magical affair
seen especially when a seed
transforms itself with the
other elements and
recreates itself eternally.
Thus recreating   ETERNAL
LIFE.  The joy of gardening
is not something  that can be
spoken of, rather it is
something that has to be
experienced to be known.

ways to compost and many different types of soils, thus taking a class on the subject is
really only the introductory to the subject of gardening.  Learning how to do it properly
