Human beings are affected by the moon. Women especially are affected by the moon and their menstrual cycle is intimately linked to this celestial body. The moon: regulates your menstrual cycle, can trigger ovulation and fertile times, affects your emotions and affects the way people behave and view the world. Women are connected to the moon by our blood, our hormones and our souls. Our Fertility workshop teaches women how to realign their cycles with the moon. Ancient women all used to menstruate at the same time (with the new moon) and ovulate (with the full moon). The moon affects the water movement in the earth, in plants, and in our own bodies. Ancient medical practitioners took into consideration the phase of the moon in diagnosis and treatment.
The Reproductive Organs
What Role does the Moon play in Fertility, Detoxification and Health?

What does the Liver and Kidneys have to do with Fertility?
According to Chinese Medicine, the following symptom patterns of Liver Chi Stagnation and Kidney Chi Deficiency are contributing causes of infertility. When we speak of the liver or of the kidney in Chinese medicine, we are not speaking of a problem with that specific organ. We are speaking of the energetic functioning of that organ and its related energy channel or meridian. Our modern lifestyle, a history of overwork, the use of medication, consumption of coffee and alcohol use also play a major role in blocking the energy of the liver. Reproductive treatments with drug therapies and invasive procedures also contribute to Liver Chi Stagnation. The stagnation of the Liver Chi blocks the blood flow to the pelvic cavity. Impeded blood flow to the uterus could possibly cause difficulties with implantation. One major cause of infertility in Chinese medicine is the Deficiency of Kidney Chi. Strong Kidney Chi is important to help increase sperm count, prevent miscarriage and to bring a healthy baby to full term. Again due to our modern life style with our hectic and busy schedules, we are causing our adrenal system to go on overload eventually depleting our adrenal reserves and causing a Deficiency of Kidney Chi and our vital essence.

How Seasonal Detoxification affects Fertility?
A woman's reproductive organs are nourished by the digestive system. Thus when the digestive organs are burdened with toxic build up, it will lead to gynecological problems including menstrual discomforts and fertility problems. There is a system of Seasonal Detoxification in which women can detoxify their various organ systems throughout the year. It is advisable for women to follow a detoxification program for at least a year prior to conceiving children. Sometimes fertility problems can be addressed with changes in diets, use of herbal medicine, and other natural therapies. This workshop is designed to help women come to understand which imbalances they have they may be effecting their fertility and to heal them with only natural methods.
